Join my 'Gateway Elderwomen' chat on Subtack
Only if you want to; you won't miss any of my essays if you don't!
Today I’m announcing a brand new addition to my ‘Gateway Elderwomen’ Substack publication: the Gateway Elderwomen subscriber chat.
I know it’s not for everyone (and I’m not even sure about it myself, as my capacity for social media is something I’m increasingly wary of…) but I thought I’d give it a go as a way to get feedback from you, my lovely readers. It’ll just be a place where I can post ideas and ask for feedback, so if it’s not for you, you won’t be missing any of my essays or anything.
To join the chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss a conversation as it happens (or leave them off if you don’t want yet another ‘reminder’ frying your brain!)
How to get started
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hello (if you want), and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
Hi, Jody. We met a while ago in Debbie Weil's comments section. I had just read a post of yours on foremothers, which left a deep impression. As I probably mentioned at the time, I have two terrifying foremothers, one on each side of the family. The ones I would have loved are lost in time. I'd like to reread your foremothers post and cannot find it. Is it still up? Many thanks.
